...the days are hot, the nights are cold...in the swimming hole. Backstroke, sidestroke, fancy diving too! Don't you wish you never had anything else to do!!!
Well, Sam and Zak have been taking swimming lessons for the first time! Sam is doing really well...and well Zak...decided that swimming with daddy was more his speed at this time:) Sam is so proud...just beaming with self confidence...and I love to see that! He is the kind of kid that wants to do it perfect...and understanding that some things take practice and that we don't do everything perfectly the first time we try...has been an interesting journey! He is beginning to understand it though. I have signed up for the Nashville 1/2 marathon...it is 3 weeks away! Ahhhh... And well, my training has been a very good example of "practice" for Sam to see. I pray as a mom...as a parent that my life will be that example for my kids to model and want to "be like". I pray God gives me the insight to know when little eyes are watching...and well, little eyes are watching all the time!!! My kids model us all the time. They spend a lot of their days doing things like their daddy...their sweet and wonderful daddy! And when I see myself in them...most of the time it makes me laugh! And sometimes...cringe...sigh... Thankfully God's mercy and grace cover us daily. I am thankful I can ask for forgiveness from my kids...from God when those moments happen. It just shows me how important "just being" with my kids...everyday is! Soaking up each other... Thank you God for my boys!
