Starting Kindergarten...

This week has been our first full week of Kindergarten! And it has gone very smoothly...with everyone really enjoying themselves! We are starting our day about 9:30 or so...with our lists. This list consists of things like...make your bed, get dressed, feed and water the animals, help with the dishes...very basic, but necessary things that make our world go round in the Schomberg house! This seems to work well...and I think saying the word "list" instead of "chore" makes my little ones happy!

All this to say...Sam...without him even realizing it really...read TWO books (readers) this morning!!! I could not believe it! We had finished math and were drawing and talking about the letters "M" and "A"...and then I pulled out some BOB BOOKS and well...there you go! Sam read...amazing!!!!!!!!!! He...was SO PROUD!!! His face was beaming...I wish my camera had caught that moment...sigh VERY, VERY, COOL! Go Sam go...:) I love that little dude!

ONE THING LIFE HAS TAUGHT ME: IF YOU ARE INTERESTED, YOU NEVER HAVE TO LOOK FOR NEW INTERESTS. THEY COME TO YOU. WHEN YOU ARE GENUINELY INTERESTED IN ONE THING, IT WILL ALWAYS LEAD TO SOMETHING ELSE.
— Eleanor Roosevelt
( I cannot read this without thinking of you, dear, sweet Fairlight…)
