Let my people go...

We are in the middle of learning about life...and death.  It sounds kind of grim...I know...but it is actually a really good thing to talk about and hear the questions that come from this topic.  We are learning this by the capturing of God's creatures...keeping them for a day or two...and letting them go.  The other day I went for a run...found a swallowtail butterfly and ran all the way home...with my hands claspped...holding the butterfly...so Sam could see it and identify it!  Come to find out...it was a Pipevine Swallowtail...beautiful!  But...our beautiful butterfly, sad to say, lost it's life in one of our canning jars.  We did the usual...poke holes in the top...find out what it may need in very tight quarters...and admire it!  We were all sad to see it come to it's end.  Then...a few days later...it was a grasshopper.  We captured it, poked holes in the lid, and fed it.  He lived...and Sam decided...one morning bright and early...it was time to let him go!  So sweet...
